PURPOSE 

To receive, store, stock, and sell packaged liquor in a liquor store; perform related work. 

 

GENERAL INFORMATION 

This work involves standing and walking continuously throughout the shift, lifting, and moving cases weighing up to 60 pounds.  

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  1. Liquor and Souvenir Sales 
    1. Greets customers and answers their questions regarding product content, use, and price.  
    2. Receives payments by cash, check, or credit card. 
    3. Closes the cash register daily 

 

  1. Stocking 
    1. Assists in the receipt and verification of shipments. 
    2. Inspects and documents damaged merchandise. 
    3. Determines stocking needs, codes merchandise, print labels, and arranges shelf and floor displays in conjunction with the Store Manager. 

 

  1. Store Operations 
    1. Open and close the store (as needed) and maintains security. 
    2. Recommends product merchandising 
    3. Answers the phone and directs the call based on the vendor’s need (this is 90% of the time in Spanish). 
    4. Set up visa and passport photo appointments with the photographer (this is 90% of the time in Spanish). 
    5. Check and report inventory levels and new product listings. 
    6. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of store area, keeps the shelves organized as possible, as well as coordinates with custodial staff for periodic carpet vacuuming and shampooing.  

 

  1. Customers Account Handling 
    1. Exchange correspondence with customers with regards to special orders or purchases, as needed. 
    2. Processing membership accounts by activating new members and close accounts for members departing post and supports the Store Manager in requesting gas pro-keys from GSO. 

 

  1. Other tasks, as requested by the Store Manager. 

Requirements: 

WORK EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years of experience in customer service.

LANGUAGE: fluent in English and Fluent level of Spanish.
KNOWLEDGE: Some QuickBooks experience preferable.
